# Meeting formats

> See which meeting formats TenTenor supports and choose the one that matches how your team meets.

A meeting format tells TenTenor which agenda, timing, and criteria to use when it analyzes a meeting. You choose it as **Meeting format** when you record or import a meeting, as **Default meeting type** in team settings, and as the analysis type of an upcoming meeting.

## Supported formats

| Format | Use it for | Target length |

## What each format looks for

Each format has its own agenda and criteria. The report shows the agenda as **Meeting flow** in the **Deep dive** tab and rates the criteria under **Meeting health** in the **Recap** tab.

Agenda minutes are defaults. TenTenor stretches or shortens the segment marked \* to fit the meeting's target length.

### EOS L10

**Agenda:** Segue 5 · Scorecard Review 5 · Rock Review 5 · Headlines 5 · To-Do List 5 · Issue Solving 60\* · Conclude 5

**Meeting health:** Timing, Issue Solving Quality, Accountability, Engagement, Resolutions

### Scaling Up 4D

**Agenda:** Good News 5 · Customer / Employee Data 10 · Priorities & The Numbers 10 · Collective Intelligence 30\* · Who / What / When Summary 3 · One Phrase Close 2

**Meeting health:** Customer & Employee Intel, Priority & Numbers Focus, Collective Intelligence Quality, Who/What/When Clarity, Engagement, Timing

### Scaling Up Daily Huddle

**Agenda:** What's Up 5 · The Numbers 5 · Stucks 5\*

**Meeting health:** Pace & Brevity, Synchronization, Daily Numbers, Stucks Surfaced, Offline Discipline, Everyone Speaks

A huddle works differently from the weekly formats:

* TenTenor scores it against 15 minutes, whatever the calendar event's length or the team's target duration.
* Raise stucks and take them offline. The coach does not expect the huddle to solve them.
* Daily huddles do not contribute to [Insights](/guides/insights).

### 3HAG Weekly

**Agenda:** Opening / Wins 5 · 3HAG Alignment Check 5 · Priority / Metrics Review 15 · Constraints & Strategic Issues 20\* · Decisions & Commitments 10 · Who / What / When Close 5

**Meeting health:** Strategic Clarity, Priority Focus, Metrics & Reality, Tradeoff Quality, Execution Alignment, Ownership Clarity, Engagement

### General Weekly

**Agenda:** Opening 5 · Updates & Metrics 15 · Discussion 30\* · Actions & Close 10

**Meeting health:** Decisions & Outcomes, Actions & Ownership, Follow-Through, Focus & Tangents, Time vs. Value, Participation & Candor

Choose General Weekly when your team does not follow EOS, Scaling Up, or 3HAG. The coach works out the structure your team used and does not hold the meeting to this agenda.

### EOS Quarterly

**Agenda:** Check-In 30 · Review Prior Quarter 60 · V/TO Review 90 · Set Next-Quarter Rocks 90 · IDS (Issues List) 180\* · Conclude 30

**Meeting health:** Prior-Quarter Accountability, Vision Alignment (V/TO), Rock Quality, Issue Solving (IDS), Engagement & Ownership, Timing & Structure

A quarterly session works differently from the weekly formats:

* Its recap adds **Prior quarter**, **V/TO review**, and **Next-quarter Rocks** sections when the session covers them.
* TenTenor uses the calendar event's length when there is one, otherwise a full day. The team's target duration does not apply.

## Custom formats

Custom meeting formats are available on request for Growth plans and higher. Growth includes one custom format, and Scale includes three.

To add a custom format, email [support@tentenor.com](mailto:support@tentenor.com) with a description of each format, such as its agenda and how long each part runs. TenTenor adds the format to your organization, and it then appears with the other formats wherever you choose one.

## Choose a format

### During setup

When an owner or administrator prepares the first meeting, TenTenor asks **Which operating system do you run on?** The answer sets the team's default format.

| Answer | Default format |
| ---------------- | -------------- |
| **EOS®** | EOS L10 |
| **Scaling Up®** | Scaling Up 4D |
| **Other / None** | General Weekly |

You can switch to any other format later in team settings.

### For a team

An organization owner or administrator sets the team's default format:

1. Open the team's settings from the dashboard or its page in **Admin → Teams**.
2. On the **Coaching** tab, choose the **Default meeting type**.
3. Select **Save coaching settings**.

If a team has no default meeting type, TenTenor analyzes its meetings as EOS L10.

### For one meeting

* **Recording, upload, or transcript import:** choose the **Meeting format** before you submit. Keep the team default option to use the team's format. See [record, upload, or import](/guides/record-or-upload).
* **Calendar meeting:** in **Team settings → Upcoming meetings**, change the meeting's analysis type before it starts. Facilitators, administrators, and owners can make this change.

A report keeps the format TenTenor used for the analysis.

## Adjust the timing

On the **Coaching** tab, an owner or administrator can also:

* Set **Override target duration** when the team's meetings run shorter or longer than the format's target. Calendar meetings use their scheduled length instead, so the override mostly affects uploads and imports. It does not apply to Scaling Up Daily Huddle or EOS Quarterly meetings.
* Use **Agenda timings** to change how long each part of the default format's agenda should take.
